BIOGRAPHY
Judy Heartsong graduated from The Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 1980 with over 1100 hours of study. She also taught prenatal massage at the school and helped develop new curricula and an internship program which placed advanced student volunteers in community agencies such as Safehouse, Hospice, and The People's Clinic, a school for developmentally challenged children, and a clinic serving Southeast Asian war victims and refugees where she volunteered for two years.
She was active in defining licensure requirements for massage therapists in Colorado as well as supporting similar legislation in Maryland and Missouri.

Judy studied Hakomi body-centered psychotherapy with Ron Kurtz and Aston Patterning with Linda & Walter Krier and possesses a diverse background in nutrition, three kinds of meditation, several forms of dance and two types of yoga. She is familiar with many holistic healthcare modalities.
Judy has practiced a variety of martial arts and internal energy development arts. She is a student of Bob Flaws and studied Qi Gong for four years, and holds a teaching certificate in Tai Chi Ruler from Blue Poppy Pai.
Judy has enjoyed working with newborns, elders, athletes and martial artists. She has worked with trauma victims and also done terminal care. Judy teamed with a chiropractor to work with medical patients and taught childbirth education for three years, serving as a childbirth assistant in homes and hospitals.
Those in the arts who have benefited from her bodywork include performers with The Boston Symphony at Tanglewood, Shakespeare & Co. in Lenox, Massachusetts, Williamstown Theatre Festival and other acting companies. For four years she was the resident therapist at The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, home to The Denver Center Repertory Theatre, The Denver Symphony and The Denver Ballet.
